Powering on/off

Wake mode

This saber has what is called "Wake mode" which is a low-power mode in between being completely off and having the blade actually on (ignited).

Turning on Wake mode

Press and hold the LED button to bring out of sleep mode. You will hear
a ‘Power On’ voice, and the LED button will turn on. The saber is now in
Wake mode. Watch this LED when controlling the saber, as listed in the
table below.

Powering Down Completely (Sleep Mode)

While the saber is in Wake mode, press and hold the LED button for 10 full seconds. The LED button will turn off, meaning your saber is now officially in Sleep Mode and is properly powered down. NOTE: This will happen after the saber has been left idle for 10 minutes in Wake mode, so if you forget to do this, it will do it automatically.

Igniting/Activating The Blade

While the saber is in Wake mode, press the button once quickly, to turn the saber blade on. (Holding the button down too long will trigger other commands instead of powering up the blade.)

GESTURE CONTROL: give a sharp controlled thrust straight out to turn it on with style. This may take some practice to master, so give it a few tries if it doesn't work right away; you may not have used the appropriate angle, force, or speed. See "Turning Motion Control On/Off" further down for turning gestures on/off if you need to troubleshoot that.

Switching Sound Fonts

While the saber is in Wake mode, either hold for 5 LED flashes (2.5 seconds) OR make a quick twisting motion of the hilt. Doing so will select the next sound font in the saber's sound font library. There are 12 total sound fonts included.

Light Effects

While the saber is in Wake mode, hold for 2 LED flashes (1 second). This will toggle your blade light effects between Stable, Unstable, and Pulse lighting styles when the blade is on.

Adjusting Behavior Settings

Turning Motion Control On/Off

Turning Flash on Clash On/Off

While the saber is in Wake mode, hold for 4 LED flashes (2 seconds). Flash on Clash will toggle on if it was already off, or off it it was already on.

Charging

When the battery runs low, a voice will sound to inform you the battery is low. Insert the charging cable in the DC port. The hilt will have a "pulsing" light indicating that it is charging. Once it is fully charged, a voice will state "Ready" and the light will turn off.

Symptoms of low battery

If you haven't charged it recently, the saber may flash on clash with a red tinge; if you don't notice this or ignore it long enough, the saber will turn off automatically and no longer be powered on OR in wake mode until recharged.
